Somatic facials, jaw release & buccal massage in Gatineau & Ottawa
For the jaw you clench and the shoulders you carry. A slow, mindful facial that softens the places where you hold on.

Soften your expression. Return to yourself.
This treatment combines somatic facial sculpting, jaw release and full-body fascia work that extends to the feet. Facial lymphatic drainage, sculpting massage and myofascial techniques work through the scalp, face, jaw, neck and body.
It focuses on the muscular tension behind jaw clenching, neck pain and shoulder stiffness — the tension that makes TMJ discomfort, tension headaches, migraines and tight shoulders feel heavier. Women living with TMJ, jaw pain or recurring headaches often tell me this is the hour their jaw finally lets go.
Many of the women on my table spend their days caring for others: hairstylists, nail techs and beauty professionals holding their arms up for hours, and women who work at a computer all day in less-than-perfect posture. All of that effort settles quietly into the jaw, neck and shoulders. This session was made for you.
Buccal massage works inside the cheeks, with gloves and your consent. Tell me beforehand what you would rather skip; your comfort and consent come first, always.
The somatic part invites you to slow down and notice sensation. Drawing on over a decade of experience as a Reiki Master, I bring an intuitive, energy-focused approach that creates space for release and a deeper connection with yourself.
This treatment supports comfort and ease. It is not a cure, diagnosis or medical treatment for TMJ disorders or dental conditions. If your jaw locks, the pain is persistent, or you have had recent dental work, check with your dentist first and let me know when you book so we can work around it.
A few things you may wonder.
What is a buccal facial?
A buccal facial is a sculpting facial massage that includes buccal massage — gentle work with the cheek muscles from inside the mouth, with gloves and your consent — alongside external sculpting, jaw release and lymphatic drainage. It reaches tension that surface massage alone cannot touch.
What is buccal massage?
Buccal massage is a facial technique that works with the cheek muscles from inside the mouth, with gloves, as well as externally. Ask about the approach and discuss consent and comfort before your session.
Can I have a facial without intraoral work?
Your comfort and consent come first. Discuss your preferences before booking and ask which facial option best suits you — the treatment is tailored to your comfort.
Is the jaw release facial for TMJ?
It is not a cure for TMJ, and it is not a medical or dental treatment. But it is one of the sessions I most recommend for women living with TMJ. The jaw release, myofascial work and buccal massage soften the muscular tension that makes clenching, clicking, jaw pain, tension headaches and shoulder tightness feel worse, and many women leave feeling noticeably lighter through the jaw, neck and shoulders. If your jaw locks or the pain is persistent, please check with your dentist first and tell me what they have said.
Who else benefits from the jaw release facial?
Anyone who carries tension in the jaw, head, neck or shoulders. If you get tension headaches, feel your shoulders creeping up by mid-afternoon, or spend your days working with your hands or at a screen — hairstylists, nail techs, beauty professionals and women who work on computers all day especially — this session gives those hardworking muscles an hour to fully let go.
What should I expect afterwards?
Many women feel deeply relaxed, sometimes emotionally tender for a day. Rest, drink water and notice what comes up. Tell me how it went at your next visit so we can tailor the next session.
